What we do
Specialist laser hair removal, for face and body.
Laser by Hollie is an independent laser hair removal studio in Caerphilly, treating face and body, from a lip or chin to full legs, back and chest. Appointments are one to one with the same practitioner every visit, everything is priced per session, and most treatments are done in under 45 minutes.

The equipment
Medical-grade IPL and ND:YAG laser.
Treatments use AW3 laser and light equipment, combining IPL and ND:YAG laser. The studio is trained and certified on this system, Core of Knowledge accredited, and insured with Salon Gold. Every new client is patch tested before their first treatment, with settings chosen for skin type and hair at every session.

Before you book
Frequently asked questions.
How many sessions will I need?
Most areas take six to eight sessions, spaced four to eight weeks apart, because laser only works on hair that’s actively growing. You’ll get an estimate for your area at your consultation.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe each pulse as a warm snap, like the flick of an elastic band, and cooling is used throughout. Your patch test means you’ll know how it feels before booking a full area.
How do I prepare?
Shave the area 24 hours before and arrive with clean skin, with no fake tan, oils, lotions or deodorant. Avoid waxing, plucking, sun beds and self-tan in the weeks before treatment.
Can I shave between sessions?
Yes, shaving is fine whenever you need it. Just avoid waxing, plucking and threading, which remove the root the laser needs to target.
What happens after a session?
Mild redness and warmth are normal and usually settle within 48 hours. Avoid hot baths, saunas and hard exercise for a day or two, and use SPF 30+ on treated areas.
Is laser suitable for me?
Laser works best on hair that’s darker than the surrounding skin, and isn’t suitable during pregnancy or with certain medications and skin conditions. All of this is checked at your consultation.
